Physician Referral Line Live on March 1!

Today I am pleased to announce an important enhancement to our Commonwealth Health Call Center –
a centralized physician referral service. Now by calling our convenient toll-free line – 1-800-838-WELL
(9355) – our communities will have access to contact information for all of Commonwealth Health’s
1,600 physicians.
The Call Center already serves as an easy-to-use gateway for patients seeking information about our
network’s wide array of services and programs. This next phase of development allows individuals to locate
physicians by name, specialty, ZIP code or other criteria. It’s a convenient service that offers benefits for both
our patients and our physician offices.
Ultimately, selecting a physician is an individual choice. In order to comply with federal law governing fair and
non-preferential physician referrals, all physicians credentialed at any Commonwealth Health hospital will be
included in the call center database by default.
Any physician who would like to opt out of the call center service can contact Anthony Pascucci
in the Marketing office at 570-552-7496. With so many providers for the public to choose from, easy access to
Commonwealth Health’s primary care and physician specialists is just a phone call away.
