Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Robotics helps set the standard
Due to the volume and complexity of robotic surgeries performed, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital has been named a Robotic Surgery Epicenter by Intuitive Surgical, maker of the da Vinci Robot.
One of only four da Vinci Epicenters in the country, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital is now a training site for surgeons to observe routine and complex robotic-assisted general surgery cases. Individual doctors and entire surgical teams from around the United States visit Wilkes-Barre to observe the surgical team perform sophisticated, minimally invasive procedures. The most advanced robotic technology in the world is being taught right here at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
