Hurricane Sandy Preparations

As Hurricane Sandy moves through our area, Wilkes-Barre General Hospital has taken steps to continue operations through the storm and to keep our patients and staff safe.

The hospital remains open, and our skilled physicians, nurses and other employees are equipped to continue caring for patients in the hospital, as well as those who may come to our emergency department.

We have stocked a surplus of food and water supplies, as well as generator fuel, to continue our services without interruption.

Throughout the storm, we will keep our patients, their families and our staff updated regularly about any related developments.
